Description

The Maximum uniformly distributed pressure, applied at right angles to is surface, that a test
piece will stand under the conditions of the this test (SCAN P 24/25)
A test piece, placed over a circular elastic diaphragm, is redigly clamped at the periphery but free to bulge with the diaphragm. Hydraulic fuild is pumped at the constant rate,
bulging the diaphragm until the test piece is the maximum value of the applied hydraulic pressure.
The optimum instrument for determining the Bursting Strength of Paper, Paperboard liner raw paper, and corrugated board or solid berboard material.
Specimen is tightened by screw clamping through rotation of wheel handle. The bursting pressure, at the time of rupture is recorded on a sensitive pressure gauge.
